Right Turn – Action Sequence

Before, during and after making a right there are many actions you need to take.

Before you approach the intersection you need to slow down, check the rearview mirror for vehicles behind you, signal right, stop at the stop line if needed, look left and right to ensure it is safe to turn and check right mirror for riders or pedestrians. Only then can you carefully make the turn and accelerate.

This sequence of actions should become a second nature once you gain some experience by practicing a variety of turns and situations.
